Sector: Office, Retail
Client: London Borough of Hillingdon
Project value: £1.3 Million
The entertainment centre forms part of the town centre development proposals designed by the practice. The new central library and Charter Place, a 200,000 sq ft headquaters office development, were other major components of the development.
The building occupies a prominent corner location close to the High Street. Traditional materials and forms were used, albeit in a modern manner. The variegated roofline and strongly modelled facade reflect the High Street's traditional buildings.
Accommodation is arranged on four floors with car parking below. Upper levels recieve plentiful natural daylight from largely clerestory windows. The building is designed for a range of social functions.
