Frederick Gibberd Parntership were appointed as executive architect for new building design development of 100 Burnt Oak Broadway. The project is a multi use scheme providing 100 residential units of varying size and tenure including shared ownership, london living rent and affordable rent units. The residential units benefit from private ammenity space alongside shared communal garden spaces.
The scheme also provides Shell and Core Commercial spaces across the lower ground, ground and first floors, which are accessed from Burnt Oak Broadway.
The project has a stong industrial aesthetic with the use of sinusoidal cladding to upper levels, whilst the base of the building is constructed using exposed agregate blockwork which creates a strong grounded base to the scheme.
The building occupies the former site of a Tesco supermarket and is set on a site sloping down from Burnt Oak Broadway, producing a full basement construction to the front of the site at the lower ground floor.
