Client: Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust
Gibberd Architect were appointed for the design of the Health Based Place of Safety department at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. The scheme is the refurbishment of an existing area of the Longely Centre and will provide the Trust with 3 new purpose designed Section 136 suites, which will provide ensuite shower and bathroom facilities to each service user room together with private and shared external amenity space. The practice has worked closes with the clinican team to develop and challenge the brief to develop a bespoke design which responds directly to unique needs of the service user group.
Gibberd Architects have also worked closely with the Arts of Health team to develop the interiors in collaboration with local artisits work which will be central to the scheme.
