Gibberd Architects were appointed by Sheffield Social Care NHS Foundation Trust to refurbish an unoccupied area of the Longely Centre to provide new facilities for the SPA and AMPH's Teams. Providing Single Point of Access Services to Sheffield.
Gibberd Architects worked closely with the Trust to develop the brief and layout, working closely with the clinical team.
The refurbishment has also allowed the relocation of the assoicated reception for visitors to the facility, reorganisiation of the existing entrance area to provide a bright open and inviting waiting and reception area.
The project is Phase 1 of a scheme and facilitates the decant of an area which will be developed into a new Health Based Place of Safety.
Gibberd Architects also worked closely with the Trusts Arts In Health Team, developing the interior pallette, the scheme has been developed to include artwork and photography by local Sheffield artists.
